100 calorie Chips Ahoy Thin Crisps

Chips Ahoy thin crisps

Nabisco doesn’t just use tinier versions of its classic Chips Ahoy cookies for these 100 calorie packs; these are a different product. They are, as the package implies, crispy. If you’re hoping for a chewy cookie, this is not for you. But the crisps taste great, with plenty of chocolate taste. I’d buy them again, for myself or to give my kids a take-along treat.

Ritz 100 calorie pack chips
Let’s cut to the chase: These are one of the most satisfying 100 calorie pack snacks I’ve tried. They don’t skimp on the flavoring in these sour cream and onion chips, but they’re baked, which obviously cuts back on calories and fat. The Ritz chips are perfect for an at-work snack, especially when you want something that’s satisfying without being sweet.

Oreo Thin Crisps
While some 100 calorie packs are simply the full-size product crammed into a tiny package for more money per ounce, in the case of Nabisco’s Oreo Thin Crisps, they really are offering a product unique to the 100 calorie line. The crisps really do taste like Oreos, and not just the outside cookie part. They’ve somehow stuffed creamy filling flavor in there, too. They taste light and airy, but substantial enough to make a worthy snack.

100 calorie Coke
These short little 8-ounce cans of soft drinks have been around since I was in grade school in the 1980s. I remember because I was so jealous of this girl, Terri, who got one in her lunch every day, wrapped up in foil. Now that I’m all growns up, I could buy them if I want to, but I can’t stomach (figuratively) the fact that the short cans cost as much, if not more, than their 12-ounce big brothers. Plus, I’m more of a Diet Pepsi gal. At any rate, if you’re looking to quench your thirst for the original Coke with fewer calories, these babies may be just the ticket. They taste just like Coke, just less of it, for more money. But damn, they’re cute.

Pepperidge Farm Goldfish Crackers 100 Calorie Pouch
Goldfish crackers are always a big hit at our son’s preschool. But when there’s a field trip, they have to take their “nutrition” (aka snack) on the go. That’s where the 100 calorie packs made by Pepperidge Farm come in handy. They make five varieties of fish crackers in this pouch size, but we went with the original flavor. (The others are: Flavor Blasted Xtra Cheddar, Pretzel, Chocolate Graham and Cinnamon Graham.) The crackers were predictably tasty and the kids were happy. They did go fast, though, at only .75 ounces per pack.

Hershey Special Dark 100 calorie bar
What better way to start a new year than with deep, dark chocolate? One member of the Hershey’s 100 Calorie Bars line is Special Dark, a slender (way slender) relative of the company’s classic dark chocolate bar. When we first unwrapped the bar, which come seven to a box, it was even smaller than we’d imagined. But the intensity of the chocolate made up for the small size. Though some find Hershey’s dark chocolate too bitter compared to pricier brands, we weren’t disappointed by the taste. We were still hungry, though.
